CRIME: KIDNAPPERS RELEASE ABDUCTED KADUNA PASTOR, DETAIN RANSOM CARRIER
Samson Ndah Ali, the pastor of Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), was kidnapped by bandits in Mararaba Aboro, Sanga Local Government Area, Kaduna State, but has since been freed.
But they detained Yusuf Shehu Ambi, the man who brought the ransom to free the pastor.
According to reports, the ransom transporter had a sizable quantity of cash on hand to cover the pastor’s release. He was held captive by the kidnappers, who allegedly demanded additional cash or other concessions before releasing him.
Two weeks after being assigned to the church, Pastor Ali was abducted from his residence early on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. The pastor was abducted, and the kidnappers first wanted a ransom of N100 million before releasing him.
Although the pastor’s kidnapping and release have not yet been confirmed by Kaduna State police, a community source told Channels Television that Ambi, the financial secretary of ECWA in the Mararaba Aboro community, had gone to deliver the ransom for the pastor’s release when the kidnappers detained him.
