FUNERAL PLANS ANNOUNCED FOR FORMER OYO GOVERNOR OLUNLOYO

The funeral arrangements for Dr. Victor Omololu Sowemimo Olunloyo, former Executive Governor of the old Oyo State, have been formally announced.
According to a statement issued by the Olunloyo family in conjunction with the governments of Oyo and Osun States, a series of events will be held in Ibadan, Oyo State, from May 20 to May 22, 2025.
The program will begin with a Classical Music Night of Tributes on Tuesday, May 20, followed by a wake on Wednesday, May 21. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 22, alongside a private family interment and a reception.
Dr. Olunloyo, who died on April 6, 2025, at the age of 89, is being remembered for his contributions to governance and public service. More details about the funeral proceedings are expected to be announced in due course.
