HAJJ 2025: KWARA MUSLIM PILGRIMS WELFARE BOARD ANNOUNCES FIRST BATCH FOR DEPARTURE TO SAUDI ARABIA ON MAY 12
The first group of planned pilgrims is scheduled to leave Ilorin International Airport for Saudi Arabia on May 12, according to the Kwara Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
This was revealed on Sunday in Ilorin at an enlightenment session for prospective pilgrims in 2025 by the Board’s executive secretary, Abdulsalam Abdulkadir.
He disclosed that the third group will leave on May 16, the second group on May 14, and the last group on May 17.
He claims that Saudi Arabia has already made arrangements for the pilgrims’ lodging and meals.
According to Abdulkadir, the vaccinations will be distributed on April 28, the clothes on April 30, and the bags on May 1.
He added that pilgrims who paid more than N8.4 million in Hajj fees will receive refunds after returning from Saudi Arabia.
During his presentation, Justice Abdul-Lateef Kamaldeen, Grand Khadi of the State Sharia Court of Appeal, informed the pilgrims about the expectations and customs of the Hajj.
For a successful voyage, he advised the pilgrims to complete the Hajj with patience, fear of Allah, and reverence.
Key players, including the previous executive secretary, Alh. Mohammed Tunde-Jimoh, attended the second sensitisation session for prospective pilgrims.
