Toyin Abraham has stepped in to clarify the controversy surrounding her colleague’s daughter, Priscilla Ojo, and a social media clash with an X user over her husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux.

The incident followed the 17th edition of a prestigious award ceremony held Sunday evening at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos, where Juma Jux, attending alongside Priscilla, was honored as Best East African Artiste of the Year. In his acceptance speech, he thanked God, his wife, family, team, fans, and the award organizers.

The drama began when a Twitter user, Oku Yungx, suggested that Juma Jux married Priscilla to gain popularity and win awards in Nigeria. A response, appearing to come from Priscilla, sarcastically agreed, praising Juma as a strategic and hardworking man.

However, Toyin Abraham took to X (formerly Twitter) to set the record straight, stating that Priscilla does not have an account on the platform and that the response was from a fake profile impersonating her.

“Please, Priscilla doesn’t have a Twitter account. This is a fake account. Please, Priscilla is not on Twitter.”

Late last year, Juma Jux won the Best Artists/Group Eastern Africa 2024 at the Jaylia Awards in Cote d’Ivoire. While receiving his award, Juma appreciated Priscilla and gushed over her.

Reacting to his win, Priscilla, stated that she loves everything about him, most importantly his kind heart. She praised him for being a kind man and congratulated him on his award.

His mother-in-law, Iyabo Ojo, had said a word of prayer for him as she prayed for him to win more.

On Thursday, April 17th, Priscy traditionally wedded the love of her life, Juma. The traditional wedding attracted many high-profile personalities, celebrities, and public figures like the Governor of Osun State Ademola Adeleke, Chief Ebenezer Obey, Mercy Aigbe, Toyin Abraham, Peter Okoye of Psquare, Odunlade Adekola, Femi Adebayo, Sola Sobowale, Ruth Kadiri, Mercy Eke, Mide Martins, Destiny Etiko, and more.

Two days after the traditional wedding, the couple held their white wedding at a beach front in Lagos which had in attendance few celebrities.
