
LANDLORD’S SON MURDERS TENANT DURING ARGUMENT IN ONDO STATE
A 22-year-old woman named Joy Tale was allegedly killed by 41-year-old Odunayo Olomolatan, the son of her landlord, in Ode-Irele, located in the Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State.
According to a report by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the incident occurred on Monday during a heated argument.
Police Public Relations Officer DSP Olayinka Ayanlade confirmed the incident and stated that the suspect has been apprehended and is currently being held at the Divisional Police Headquarters in Ode-Irele.
He added that an investigation is underway to determine the events that led to the young woman’s death.
“Yes, I can confirm to you that the lady was allegedly hacked to death during an argument between her and her landlord son.
“The suspect has been arrested and investigation is ongoing to unravel circumstances surround the lady’s death,” Ayanlade said.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the local government, Olajide Akinfe, has urged residents not to take laws into their hands over the incident.
