
POLICE ARREST SUSPECTED VANDALS, RECOVER OPERATIONAL TOOLS
Operatives of the Isokoko Division, Lagos State Police Command have arrested two suspected vandals for vandalizing roadside concrete barriers at Ile-Zik area. The arrest which was made possible through the receipt of credible intelligence from members of the public happened on April 22, 2025.
The suspects, Peter James ‘m’, aged 26, and Lesipi Adamu ‘m’, aged 24, were intercepted while removing iron rods from concrete barriers along the road. Upon their arrest, the following operational tools—two (2) sledge hammers, two (2) cutting saws, and a pair of scissors—were recovered from them. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend other fleeing suspects.
Following the conclusion of preliminary investigation, the suspects were charged to court for conspiracy, stealing and willful destruction of public infrastructure. The recovered exhibits have been registered and presented as evidence.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, condemns vandalism of public property, stressing that it is a threat to safety and infrastructure; and reaffirms the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property across the State.
