POLICE NAB THREE SUSPECTED CULTISTS, RECOVER FIREARMS
Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have apprehended three suspected cultists in the Elemoro area of Lagos.
The suspects — Christopher Amah (28), Bada Olusesi (38), and Magaji Yusuf (34) — were arrested during a cult meeting held on April 26, 2025.
The operatives, while on routine patrol, got wind of an unlawful gathering of about fifteen individuals suspected to be cultists and acted swiftly, closing in on the group and successfully arresting three suspects, while others fled the scene.
A search conducted on the suspects led to the recovery of two firearms: a defaced Beretta pistol and a locally made pistol loaded with one unexpended cartridge.
These weapons were seized, and efforts are ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspects, as investigation continues.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, reiterates his unwavering resolve to stamp out cultism across the state.
He emphasizes that under his leadership, there would be no hiding place for cultists or any criminal element.
