‎Opesusi Faith Timilehin, a 19-year-old Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidate, has reportedly died by suicide in Lagos State.

‎ She allegedly consumed ‘Push Out’ rat poison on Monday after receiving a score of 190 in the recently released Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) results.

‎Timilehin, who lived with her elder sister in the Ikorodu area, had also taken the exam in 2024, reportedly scoring higher last year than this year. An eyewitness stated that after ingesting the poison at home, she went to her sister’s office and asked for palm oil to relieve the pain.

‎”But her sister, who didn’t initially know the cause of the pain, ignored her and later raised an alarm after Timilehin confessed on the way to the hospital that she had taken poison at home,” the source stated.

‎“The shocking revelation is that she was given an admission message via her Gmail yesterday, immediately after she was confirmed dead at Kolak Hospital, Odogunyan,” the source added.
