FIFA has confirmed the establishment of two special transfer windows for the 2025 Club World Cup, aimed at giving participating teams the flexibility to sign new players ahead of the tournament.

The first transfer window will run from June 1 to 10, allowing all clubs involved in the competition to register newly signed players. FIFA’s statement confirmed that the 20 Member Associations, whose clubs are participating, have agreed to the creation of this exceptional registration window.

In addition to this pre-tournament transfer window, FIFA announced a second in-competition window, which will be open from June 27 to July 3. This allows clubs to make further signings during the tournament, encouraging players whose contracts are expiring to secure moves that facilitate their participation.

“The objective is to encourage clubs and players whose contracts are expiring to find an appropriate solution to facilitate the players’ participation,” FIFA explained. “This will ensure that the best players will be playing, allowing clubs to add new recruits even during the tournament.”

The 2025 Club World Cup will be the largest in the competition’s history, with 32 teams from around the globe competing from June 14 to July 13 in the United States. This new format and additional flexibility are expected to elevate the quality of play and create an exciting spectacle for fans worldwide.
