
FCTA SET TO SEAL OVER 4,700 PROPERTIES OVER GROUND RENT

Top Federal Capital Territory Authority (FCTA) officials are starting an enforcement campaign to close more than 4,700 homes because the ground rent has not been paid.
The FCT Administration bemoaned on March 18, 2025, that more than N6 billion in revenue had been wasted as a result of some property owners’ failure to pay their ground rents for more than a decade.
4,794 defaulters had their land titles cancelled by the authorities that same day.
