In Buniyadi, the state’s Gujba Local Government Area headquarters, the Yobe State Police Command, working with vigilantes, has successfully freed two kidnapped victims, dismantled a kidnapping den, and retrieved an AK-47 gun.
Dungus Abulkarim, the command spokesman, said the success happened after an eyewitness in Buni Yadi called for help. The police responded by locating the criminal elements’ den and, with the help of the locals, raided the area following a gunfight.
