Mrs. Chinaza Odeka, the Anambra woman at the center of a viral intimate video scandal, has finally spoken out.

The video, which shows Chinaza with her lover, Ichie Obiora a titled and married man sparked widespread outrage after it was reportedly leaked by Chinaza’s own daughter, who discovered it on her mother’s phone.

In a candid interview with a content creator at her shop, Chinaza confirmed she was indeed the woman in the video. She expressed deep regret over the footage being made public, explaining that it was recorded in a moment of passion, intended solely for private enjoyment between her and Obiora.

The incident has stirred controversy across Anambra State, drawing attention and criticism from within and outside the community.

She said: “It was never meant to be made available to members of the public. Its leakage has caused me and my family untold hardship and ridicule.”

When questioned about why she had an affair with another man while married, she responded that her marriage was virtually non-existent, as her husband was irresponsible.

“Since I entered this marriage, I’ve never had peace of mind. I’m only staying in it to raise my children,” she was quoted as saying.

According to her, her husband continuously accused her of infidelity without evidence and would often come to her shop, where she sells foodstuffs, to beat her.

On the issue of shame and opprobrium the leak has caused, she said there was nothing that could be done about it, even as she accused some of her critics of hypocrisy.

She said: “All these people criticising the sex video, I’m sure many married women are doing the same thing; it’s just that my own happened to leak.”
