Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele embodied royalty and grace at the grand wedding finale of Priscilla Ojo, daughter of her colleague Iyabo Ojo.

The box office queen took to her Instagram page to share photos of her breathtaking look for the occasion. She wore a glamorous gold dress, perfectly matching the wedding’s colour theme.

In her caption, she disclosed that Iyabo told her to go gold or go home, so she obeyed.

On Monday, it was revealed that Funke Akindele was en route to Tanzania for the grand wedding finale of Priscilla Ojo and her Tanzanian fiancé, Juma Jux. In a viral video circulating online, Funke was spotted at the airport alongside fellow actress Jayeola Monje.

The two actresses arrived in Tanzania on Tuesday and were warmly received by Iyabo Ojo. In an emotional clip shared online, Iyabo was seen embracing Funke and presenting her with flowers and a ceremonial cape as part of a grand welcome.

Funke later took to her Instagram page to share moments from her arrival and to praise Iyabo, congratulating her on her daughter’s wedding.

In another video, the filmmaker was seen with the bride, Priscilla, showering her with praise for making everyone proud. Funke commended her not only for her beauty but also for her intelligence, hard work, and ability to avoid controversy. She also offered heartfelt prayers for her.

Although Funke was absent during Priscilla’s traditional and white wedding ceremonies in Nigeria due to travel, she had extended her congratulations to the couple online, blessing them with prayers and expressing her joy in being part of their celebration, even from afar. She described Priscilla’s happiness as a reflection of her upbringing and the love she received from her mother.

After the events, Funke expressed regret for missing the initial wedding celebrations, sharing her sadness over not being physically present.
