On Monday, it was reported that Funke Akindele was en route to Tanzania to attend the grand wedding finale of Priscilla Ojo and her Tanzanian fiancé, Juma Jux. In a viral video, Funke was spotted at the airport alongside fellow actress Jayeola Monje.
The actresses arrived in Tanzania on Tuesday, where they were warmly welcomed by Iyabo Ojo. In an online clip, Iyabo was seen embracing Funke and presenting her with flowers and a cape as part of the grand reception.
Funke later shared highlights from her warm welcome on Instagram, where she praised Iyabo and congratulated her on her daughter’s wedding.
On the wedding day, Funke extended her congratulations to Priscilla and her husband, offering heartfelt prayers for the newlyweds. She also expressed how honoured she felt to be part of the special occasion, noting that Priscilla’s joy reflected Iyabo’s love and dedication as a mother.
Following the wedding, Funke expressed regret over missing some parts of the event and shared her sadness at not being fully present.
She later congratulated Priscilla again when the young bride secured her first endorsement deal post-wedding. In a comment on Instagram, Funke declared that this was Priscilla’s season of victories and celebration.
