REAL MADRID CONFIRM SIGNING OF TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD ON SIX-YEAR DEAL FROM LIVERPOOL

Real Madrid have officially announced the signing of England international Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool on a six-year contract, in a high-profile transfer that marks the end of the defender’s illustrious career at Anfield.
The deal, confirmed on Friday by the Spanish giants via an official statement on their website, will see the 26-year-old right-back join the La Liga champions from June 1, 2025, through June 30, 2031.

“Real Madrid C.F. and Liverpool FC have reached an agreement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who will be linked to our club for the next six seasons,” the statement read.
Alexander-Arnold arrives at the Santiago Bernabéu after a trophy-laden spell with Liverpool, where he won nine major honours including one UEFA Champions League, one FIFA Club World Cup, one UEFA Super Cup, two Premier League titles, one FA Cup, two EFL Cups, and a Community Shield.
A product of Liverpool’s famed academy, Alexander-Arnold has spent his entire club career with the Merseyside outfit, earning a reputation as one of the best attacking full-backs in world football. Internationally, he has represented England since 2018 and featured in the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups, as well as the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament.
His individual accolades include being named in the FIFA FIFPro World 11 (2020), two UEFA Champions League Teams of the Season (2018/19, 2021/22), and three Premier League Teams of the Season (2018/19, 2019/20, 2021/22). He was also voted the Premier League Young Player of the Season for 2019/20.
Alexander-Arnold is expected to join up with his new teammates ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup, which kicks off in the United States on June 14. His arrival further strengthens Real Madrid’s defensive line as the club looks to maintain its dominance in both domestic and international competitions.
