The Federal Government has announced Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, as public holidays in celebration of this year’s Eid-ul-Adha festival.

This announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the government. He extended warm greetings to Muslims in Nigeria and around the world on the occasion.

In a statement issued by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, the Minister encouraged the Muslim faithful to uphold the values of sacrifice and devotion demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him), and to use the festive period to pray for peace and prosperity in Nigeria.

Dr. Tunji-Ojo reassured citizens that ongoing reforms and initiatives under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda are designed to steer the country back on the path of development.

He also wished the Muslim community a joyful Eid-ul-Adha and urged all Nigerians to support the government’s efforts in rebuilding the nation’s greatness.
