The Anambra State Police Command has appealed to the public for information that could lead to the rescue of a three-year-old boy, allegedly stolen by an unidentified woman in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area.

Police spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, in a statement on Monday, identified the missing child as Master Chimaobi Nwadike.

“Preliminary information reveals that the victim was stolen by an unidentified woman while in the custody of his mother,” Ikenga said.

The command urged anyone with useful information about the child or the suspect to report to the nearest police station or call the command’s emergency lines.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, the command confirmed the arrest of 45-year-old Okwuchukwu Ezimuo for allegedly stabbing his relative to death during a land dispute in Umunocha Village, Awka-Etiti, Idemili South LGA.

The victim, 65-year-old Joseph Dike, was reportedly struck on the chest during a quarrel on Monday evening. Police say investigations are ongoing.
