Dede Ashiogwu, the first runner-up of the recently concluded Big Brother Naija Season 10, has refuted claims that regional bias influenced the outcome of the show.

The “Ten Over Ten” edition ended on Sunday, with Imisi clinching the title and taking home the N150 million grand prize.

Big Brother Naija Season 10 runner-up, Dede Ashiogwu, has denied allegations that regional bias influenced the outcome of the recently concluded reality show.

The “Ten Over Ten” edition came to an end on Sunday, with Imisi emerging as the winner and receiving the grand prize of N150 million.

Meanwhile, the media reports that Ossai Ovie Success, Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, alleged via his official X account that the show was manipulated.

According to him, Dede was deliberately denied victory to avoid having back-to-back winners from Delta State, following Kellyrae’s win in the previous season.

In his post, Ossai asserted that Dede had made her state and supporters proud, insisting she deserved to win. He also threatened legal action against the show’s organizers, describing the outcome as the result of “rigged voting.”

However, during the prize presentation ceremony held on Tuesday at the MultiChoice office in Lagos, Dede addressed the controversy, firmly rejecting the claims and affirming that Imisi’s victory was both fair and well-deserved.

“I don’t believe it had anything to do with region. It’s simply about the votes — she got the highest number, and she won. She truly deserves it,” Dede said.

Looking to the future, the Delta-born reality star expressed her desire to venture into the entertainment and creative industries, with a particular focus on acting.

“Everything amazing, everything we don’t know, everything we’ve never seen — that’s what I’m bringing,” she declared with confidence.
