SANWO-OLU SUSPENDS CAMPAIGNS AFTER TRAIN/BUS TRAGEDY
Following the terrible early-Thursday morning accident involving a train and a Lagos State Government staff bus, the governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has suspended campaigns ahead of the gubernatorial and state assembly elections. He also exhorts others to embody Lagos’ real character.
Two people have already been confirmed dead and numerous others injured as a result of the unfortunate event that occurred in the Shogunle and Ikeja axis.
In a statement, Sanwo-Olu expressed his sorrow over the catastrophe and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of those who died in the disaster, pleading with God to grant them eternal rest.
He thanked emergency responders and other officials for their fast action.. Gov directs flags be flown at half mast and workers to observe half day of work tomorrow.
