FG, NLC TO MEET TODAY OVER FUEL SUBSIDY

Despite being only three days old, the President Bola Tinubu-led administration is already moving forward with the difficult tasks that lie ahead.
The Federal Government is expected to meet with the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC today over the planned removal of fuel subsidy.
The NLC National President, Joe Ajaero, made the disclosure during an interview with channels television on Wednesday morning.
Recall that President Tinubu in his inaugural speech on Monday May 29 at the Eagle Square, Abuja confirmed that the era of subsidy is over.
“Subsidy is gone,” Tinubu declared
Following the comment, queues resurfaced in most parts of the country as fuel prices rose to between 500 and 750 in some parts of the country.
The NLC has always opposed the fuel subsidy removal has they believe it will have a negative impact on the masses.
