CHICHI OF BIG BROTHER NAIJA SUES PHYNA FOR $100 MILLION OVER ALLEGED DEFAMATION

The Big Brother Naija star has filed a huge lawsuit against her colleague!
Big Brother Naija’s Chinenyenwa ‘Chichi’ Desire Okoebor has filed a lawsuit against Josephina ‘Phyna’ Otabor for alleged character defamation.
Her lawsuit is based on statements made by Phyna during the recent BBN ‘Level Up’ reunion that she considers defamatory.
Phyna accused Chichi of abandoning her ‘husband and children’ in Benin City, resulting in the death of one of her children, during a violent dispute on the show.
She also used Snapchat to repeat her on-air claims and accuse Chichi of poisoning her companion in Cyprus before departing.
The reality TV personality and her legal team refuted both bogus charges. Her lawyers set the terms, requesting that Phyna recant her claims across all of her social media platforms, print her retraction in three widely circulated publications, and pay a $100,000,000 retraction fee.
These allegations are based on images that circulated in January 2023. In those images, Chichi was seen with a man and a toddler, whom others presumed to be her spouse and child.
She denied being married and having children during the reunion show in June. She emphasized that the man in the photo was her father’s youngest sibling, not her spouse.
Chichi’s lawyers attest that Phyna’s allegations and defamatory statements have had severe consequences for the star and have led to a loss of several endorsement deals and partnerships for her.
