TCN BOOSTS POWER SUPPLY TO LAGOS WITH 336MW CAPACITY TRANSFORMERS

The TCN Lekki 330/132/33kV Transmission Substation has received three brand new power transformers, comprising one 300MVA and two 60MVA power transformers in the Substation on the 14th of October, 2023.
The transformers have been placed on their plinths and installation processes have commenced. On completion of installation, the transformer capacity of the Lekki Substation will increase by 336MW.
The transformers are a part of the ongoing TCN-World Bank grid expansion projects, aimed at further strengthening the transmission grid and ensuring that all TCN attains the N-1 reliability status.
On completion of the installation works, the substation will have more available bulk electricity for Eko Disco to offtake for its customers.
