On Sunday afternoon, a speeding motorist lost control of his car and went off the Lagos-Ibadan motorway, killing two people.
At roughly 02:38 p.m., the deadly collision happened right after the Iperu-Ogere bridge on the way to Sagamu-Interchange in Ogun State.
It was discovered that the collision included one adult female and two adult males.
“One female adult suffered injuries, and two male adults were confirmed dead,” Florence Okpe, a spokesman for the Federal Road Safety Corps in Ogun, stated.
According to Okpe, the driver of the Toyota with the licence plate JJJ25HS had been speeding.
“The drive lost control and ran into a drainage by the road side,” it was said.
The bodies were placed in the FOS mortuary in Ipara, while the injured victim was transported to Victory Hospital in Ogere for medical treatment.
Meanwhile, the Sector Commander of the FRSC in Ogun, Anthony Uga, had advised motorists to ”drive responsibly and shun excessive speed.”
