JUST IN: SENATE ADJOURNS SECURITY BRIEFING TILL FEB. 13
In order to accommodate all interested parties in the country’s security management, the Senate decided to postpone questioning the military chiefs over insecurity until February 13.
The security officials were supposed to address the parliamentarians in the Senate chamber on the rising degree of insecurity in the country.
But the Senate decided to delay the hearing in order to include a more extensive briefing.
The proposal to postpone the security briefing by the service chiefs was offered by Senate Majority Leader Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, and it was backed by Senate Minority Leader Senator Abba Moro.
Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, stated that the Senate would prefer a comprehensive discussion on insecurity when granting the adjournment.
