THIRD MAINLAND BRIDGE: GOV. SANWO-OLU APPLAUDS COACH DREH’S EPIC SWIM AND ADVOCACY EFFORTS ON MENTAL HEALTH

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State, praised Coach Dreh, also known as Dare Samuel Akinrodoye, on social media for his outstanding achievement.

Remember that on March 30, 2024, Dare Samuel Akinrodoye accomplished an amazing feat by swimming the full 11.8 km of the Third Mainland Bridge in just 2 hours and 33 minutes

In addition to praising Coach Dreh’s physical accomplishment, Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasised his commitment to a noble purpose.

Babajide Sanwo-Olu praised the instructor for his love of swimming and his efforts to raise awareness of mental health.

This was revealed by Sanwo-Olu when he welcomed Coach Dreh and his group together with the Youth Commissioner.

He said, “Great achievements often stem from noble causes, and today, we celebrated a remarkable feat by one of Lagos’s very own, Dare Samuel Akinrodoye, known as COACH DREH.

“On March 30th, 2024, he swam 11.8km across the Third Mainland Bridge in an impressive time of 2 hours and 33 minutes, not just as a challenge to himself, but with a mission to raise awareness and campaign against suicide and depression.

“It was an honour to welcome Coach Dreh and recognize his incredible journey, highlighting the importance of his cause. Lagos salutes your courage and commitment, Coach Dreh. Your dedication to making a difference both in and out of the water is truly inspiring. Your story embodies the strength and resilience that define the Lagos spirit.”
