
WHY I WROTE UTME AGAIN, UNIZIK’s BEST-GRADUATING STUDENT REVEALS
Juliet Chidiebube Uka, a recent graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, Anambra State, scored 324 in the recently completed 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
Uka was the best-graduating student in the Department of Chemistry at UNIZIK in 2021, graduating with a first class.
She stated that in order to fulfill her dream of becoming a doctor, she sat for the 2024 UTME and chose to study medicine.
Her result made public, showed that she scored an aggregate of 324 in UTME as she seeks to re-enter the university.
Her elder brother, Obiora Uka, said his sister made up her mind to study medicine and surgery at all costs.
“She has demonstrated resilience through outstanding performance. She has maintained that her ambition is to become a doctor. This led her to write Jamb again this year 2024 and scored an aggregate of 324,” he added.
According to Obiora, her family is hoping that she would be able to fulfill her lifetime ambition of becoming a doctor.
The results of the recently completed 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination are still coming in for candidates using the social networking app X.
In a statement, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board revealed that 1,402,490 out of 1,842,464 candidates did not receive a score of 200 out of 400.
The results of some UTME candidates nationwide who received a score of 300 or higher have been shared by internet users.
One such person is Toro Shehu, a lecturer’s daughter at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Kaduna State, who received a score of 348 out of 400.
