POLICE REARREST VERYDARKMAN OVER DEFAMATION ALLEGATIONS
Nigerian police officers detained controversial social media critic Martin Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, at his Abuja home on Sunday.
Although the cause of his detention has not yet been made public, his attorney, Deji Adeyanju, has revealed that it has to do with the recent exposé he published on X.com.
Adeyanju claims that Otse was detained on CP Igwe’s instructions for allegedly slandering a person who was suspected of defrauding a Nigerian expatriate.
BREAKING: VERYDARKMAN RELEASED HOURS AFTER ARREST BY POLICE FOR DEFAMATION
He wrote, “Our client, #thatverydarkman has just been arrested by the police on the instruction of CP Igwe for exposing someone who allegedly duped a Nigerian abroad.
“Instead of the police to arrest the person alleged to have duped someone, they arrested VDM on allegation of defamation.”
