NELFUND:12 MORE INSTITUTIONS ONBOARDED FOR STUDENT LOAN
The management of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund announced that 12 academic schools operated by state governments have been added to the pool of applicants for student loans.
According to a statement endorsed by Nasir Ayitogo, the Fund’s Head of Media and Public Relations, the onboarding process followed after the data was successfully submitted and verified to be complete.
“With this latest addition, the total number of participating state government-owned tertiary institutions has now increased from the initial 36 announced earlier to 48. Students’ data from 121 institutions is outstanding,” the statement read.
To ensure that their students are able to benefit of the programme, the Fund urged all institutions that have not yet uploaded their student data to the Student Verification Portal to do so.
Additionally, it urged states whose data had been successfully collected and uploaded to encourage their students to apply right away. This would help students who are having financial difficulties and ensure a steady stream of income for the universities.
