ENTERTAINMENT: LADY GAGA IN PARIS, SPARKING OPENING CEREMONY RUMOURS

Read Time:56 Second

Celine Dion and Lady Gaga spotted in Paris, Aya Nakamura on everyone’s lips: the little game of predictions around the performances of great singers with an international aura is in full swing for the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games on July 26.

In videos shared on social media, the 38-year-old was seen arriving at a hotel in the French capital.

For the first time in Olympic history, the opening ceremony will take place beside the Seine instead than in the athletics stadium, but the music has not yet been confirmed.

Aya Nakamura, a Franco-Malian R&B singer, is expected to perform despite opposition from far-right leaders, such as Marine Le Pen, who said her presence would “humiliate” France.

Rumours that Celine Dion may perhaps participate in the opening or closing ceremonies have been fuelled by her sightings in Paris.

Approximately 6,000–7,000 athletes will sail in 85 barges and boats down a six-kilometer (four-mile) length of the Seine from the Austerlitz bridge in the east to the Eiffel Tower as part of the ceremony.
