DAMIANI BACKS CONTE TO HELP OSIMHEN IF NAPOLI EXIT FALLS THROUGH
Former Italy international Oscar Damiani believes Antonio Conte can help Victor Osimhen maintain top form in the event that the forward fail to secure a move away from the former Serie A champions this summer.
Osimhen has been tipped to leave the Partenopei this summer.
His proposed move to Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain has stalled.
Damiani suggested that the time is ticking if Napoli want to sell the Nigeria international in this window.
The former winger believes that Conte is the perfect coach to get the best out of Osimhen if he does end up staying at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona.
“The negotiation between Osimhen, Napoli and PSG is a difficult one that requires a significant amount of money, even for PSG, who have an ownership that allows certain investments to be made,” he said, reported via TMW.
“If he stays at Napoli, Conte will know how to give him the right sort of motivation,” Damiani continued. “Napoli is a great club and will fight with the greatest ambition.”
