NLO LIFTS ASSAULT CHARGES AGAINST OGBOMOSHO UNITED PLAYERS, OFFICIALS
The Nationwide League One has lifted the assault charges against four Ogbomosho United players and officials.
The personnel were earlier banned by the NLO following a widely reported assault on match officials during the 2023-24 season.
The NLO confirmed this in a memo sent to the club.
Part of the memo reads “After careful consideration of the letter of appeal by your club to the NLO, we are pleased to inform you that the ban and sanctions placed on your players and officials are hereby void,”
“The decision comes after a thorough review of the incident and in recognition of their commitment to uphold the values of sportsmanship and professionalism in future engagement.
“We sincerely expect professionalism and integrity, fair play from your club dedication to foster a positive and healthy environment in football.”
