POLICE DETAIN THREE SUSPECTS FOR ATTEMPED ROBBERY OF CAR DEALER
The Lagos State Police Command has detained three individuals for attempting to rob a car dealer: Taiwo Olayinka (30), Azeez Sodiq (33), and Saheed Moonstruck (23).
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, made the announcement in reaction to a video published on X.com on Wednesday by a person known only as X_DailyTrends.
The video, captioned “These boys tried to kidnap a car dealer today at Ebute Igbogbo Road, Ikorodu,” prompted Hundeyin to confirm the arrest of the three suspects, who have been in custody since the incident occurred.
Hundeyin added that efforts are underway to catch the two remaining suspects who fled, and that investigations have begun.
Reacting to the video, Hundeyin wrote, “Three suspects, Taiwo Olayinka 30, Azeez Sodiq 33 and Saheed Moonstruck 23, have been in our custody since yesterday, shortly after the incident, and efforts are on to arrest the remaining two suspects that escaped. Meanwhile, investigation has commenced.
Hundeyin clarified that the arrested individuals are suspected thieves or kidnappers, and the investigation will determine the exact nature of their crimes.
“The three arrested are the suspected thieves or kidnappers (investigation would tell which).”
