PENSION ASSETS SURGE TO N20.79 TRILLION
The entire value of pension assets has increased to N20.79 trillion, according to the National Pension Commission, or PenCom.
This information was revealed on Tuesday in Lagos during the Commission’s quarterly consultative meeting for states and the Federal Capital Territory, FTC, Pension Bureau, by Ms. Omolola Oloworararan, acting director general of PenCom.

According to her, “Pension fund assets under the Contributory Pension Scheme, CPS, continue to grow, with total Assets under management soaring to ₦20.79 trillion as at July 2024. We are pleased to note the steady remittance of contributions by States, with over ₦236.7 billion remitted by States between January 2020 and the second quarter of 2024.”
