VDM SPEAKS ON HOW HE GOT PHONE RECORDING OF BOBRISKY

Blogger Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, has detailed how he obtained a disputed phone recording of cross dresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky.
The blogger revealed this on Monday, when he appeared before a House of Representatives subcommittee examining bribery claims against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
Also present were officials from the EFCC and the NCoS, as the Committees on Financial Crimes and Reformatory Institutions began an investigation into the blogger’s charges of bribery and corruption against the anti-graft agency and the prison service.
The blogger first declined to address the committee in the absence of Bobrisky, who had also been invited, but instead sent a lawyer.
However, MPs opposed the blogger’s submission and moved a motion for him to give an address on the issue of the voice recording that he disclosed.
The blogger remained firm, requesting that his lawyer speak instead, despite the committee’s threat to invoke legislative powers and arrest him immediately.
But his lawyer persuades him to address the committee.
VeryDarkMan confirmed the legitimacy of the trending audio record, indicating that it was received from someone to whom Bobrisky owed money and that he sent a portion of the recording to the committee.
In a viral video, VeryDarkMan alleged that Bobrisky paid ₦15 million for the anti-graft agency to drop money laundering charges against him during his naira spraying ordeal in April after which a court sentenced him to six months’ imprisonment.
The blogger also claimed Bobrisky spent millions of naira to acquire a preferred prison location.
Bobrisky has subsequently disputed the charges, and both the EFCC and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) have launched investigations into the blogger’s claims.
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) encouraged the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), and the Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, to launch an independent investigation into claims made by a blogger.
