IJEBU KINGDOM INSTALL KUYE AS OTUNBA AJANA

The supreme ruler, Oba Sikiru Adetona, Ogbagba 11, installed famous politician Ademorin Kuye as Otunba Ajana of Ijebuland, sparking festivities in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, over the weekend.

As they showered the new chief with prayers, the first-class monarch and his high chiefs asked him to defend the interests and values that the sub-Yoruba ethnic group holds dear.

Kuye, a member of the House of Representatives who represents the Somolu Constituency, is a leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

In Lagos State, he formerly served as the chairman of the Somolu Council and as a commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs.

The Otunba Ajana, surrounded by his loved ones, friends, and colleagues, was dazzling in his large brown agbada and wore long, flowing beads around his neck.

He expressed gratitude to Oba Adetona for the honor and pledged to defend Ijebuland’s interests and defend the welfare of its citizens.

Sule Bamidele Yusuf, Lekan Osiyemi, Lagos State Senior Special Assistant on Civic Matters, Ruth Lijirin, House of Representatives members Fuad Laguda (Surulere Constituency), Yemi Ali (Mushin), Sesi (Badagry), Abiodun Akinlade (Yewa), Yinka Kazeem (Mushin 2), and members of the House of Representatives Damola Kasumu (Ikeja), Adebisi Ege (Ojo), and Okanlawon (Kosofe) were present at the ceremony.
