BONIFACE, LOOKMAN MAKE CAF FINAL LIST FOR MEN’S PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD, OSIMHEN MISSES OUT
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the final three candidates for the coveted CAF Player of the Year award.
This follows a selection process that narrowed down an initial list of ten players to three, all of whom have demonstrated exceptional performances for their clubs and national teams.
The players on the final shortlist are:
Ademola Lookman (Nigeria): The winger for Atalanta and the Super Eagles, Lookman, has made a significant impact on the field. In the 2023/2024 season, he helped his team clinch the UEFA Europa League title and received the title of Atalanta’s Player of the Year.
Victor Boniface (Nigeria): The Bayer Leverkusen striker and Super Eagles player, Boniface has been vital for his club and country. His impressive performance in the 2023/2024 season contributed to victories in the Bundesliga, German Cup, and German Super Cup.
Brahim Diaz (Morocco): The playmaker for Real Madrid and the Moroccan national team, Diaz, has been instrumental in his team’s achievements. Over the 2023/2024 season, he helped Real Madrid secure the La Liga title, the UEFA Champions League, the Spanish Super Cup, and the UEFA Super Cup.
