A fire outbreak in a factory in Lagos on Wednesday night destroyed some goods estimated to be worth billions of naira.
According to Margaret Adeseye, Director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, the service responded to a distress call at 8:41 p.m. and arrived at Imperio International, located at 6 Ayodele Diyan Street, off Ladipo Oluwole Street, Ikeja, Lagos, to find the fire well alight.
Adeseye narrated, “It was discovered that the fire originated in a warehouse block used for the storage of products, including body sprays and creams, among others. The fire has been contained within the warehouse block to prevent it from spreading to adjoining buildings on the premises.”
