
UPDATE ON PUPIL ASSAULT: INVESTIGATIVE PANEL TO VISIT SCHOOL THURSDAY
Hotjist.com has learnt that team of officials from the Lagos State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education will visit the Christ-Mitots School, Ikorodu on Thursday to evaluate the incident of the pupil assaulted by his class teacher.
A top official of the Ministry told Hotjist.com, “the Director in charge from the Office of Education Quality Assurance is already aware and they are on it.
“Actions have been taken; the Police and DSVA have been duly informed and a team of Evaluators will visit the School tomorrow, Thursday, January 9, 2025, for further investigation.
“A comprehensive report would be submitted to the HC, Ministry of Basic & Secondary Education as soon as possible”
Recall that a private primary school teacher who was shown in a viral video assaulting a pupil in the Ikorodu area of Lagos, has been arrested by the police on Wednesday.
The female teacher, who has been identified as Stella Nwadigo, was seen in the video hitting the male pupil on the head due to the boy’s apparent non-compliance to the teacher’s teaching method.
The incident which occurred at the Christ-Mitots School, Isawo Road, OlaInukan Bus-Stop, Isawo, Agric, Lagos; has since gone viral.
The female teacher is still in custody of the Nigeria Police Force, Imota, Ikorodu Division.
