FIRE CONSUMES POPULAR HOTEL IN ABUJA

On Wednesday, a massive fire ravaged a well-known hotel in the Garki Area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, resulting in the loss of properties worth billions.

A hotel staff member, who spoke with PREMIUM TIMES, stated that the fire began around 3 a.m.

The staff member explained that the fire was first noticed when a guest, in an undressed state, rushed to the reception to alert the hotel workers about the outbreak.

The blaze, which originated in one part of the three-storey building, quickly spread to other sections of the hotel, creating chaos among both guests and staff.

At the time of reporting, fire service personnel had arrived at the scene and were working to control the flames.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, and there have been no reported fatalities so far.

Both fire service officials and the police have not yet provided an official statement regarding the incident.
