Developed by the university’s Directorate of Information and Communication Technology, led by Prof. Toyin Enikuomehin, the platform is designed to offer a secure and dependable alternative to widely used virtual meeting tools such as Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet.
A statement by DICT said, “Approved by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, the LASU Talkspace App is now available for use by the university community and the general public.
“Members of staff can access the platform free of charge, using their official LASU staff email address.
The general public can also utilise the LASU Talkspace App by subscribing to the service and paying the stipulated fee, which varies depending on the category of services required.”
It also stated that the launch of LASU Talkspace highlights the university’s dedication to adopting technology and promoting a more interconnected and collaborative community.
