At the event, which recently took place at The Secretariat, Alausa, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political, Legislative, and Civic Engagement, Dr. Afolabi Tajudeen, highlighted that the Governor’s gesture is a clear demonstration of the Government’s continued commitment to making life better for Lagosians and ensuring an inclusive governance where no one is left behind.

He reassured that the Government will continue its efforts to ensure that every resident of Lagos benefits from the Sanwo-Olu Listen Financial Assistance Programme.
In his words, “The initiative is designed to cater for a variety of needs, including support for small businesses, education, housing, and health challenges. The health-related requests, in particular, received significant attention. We ensured that all supporting documentation from reputable hospitals is attached to the application, and once we can verify such claims, we try as much as possible to provide the best possible support.”
Clarifying the process for accessing financial assistance, the Special Adviser explained that applicants must submit a letter of request detailing their needs and specifying the amount of financial support required.
He also noted that the application letter must include a photocopy of the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) card for identification, a National Identity Number (NIN), a passport photograph, and contact details to reach the selected applicant after a thorough selection process.
