
ZAMFARA: BELLO TURJI-LED BANDITS RAID MOSQUE AND KIDNAP WORSHIPPERS
Notorious bandit Bello Turji and his armed assailants carried out a violent attack on a mosque in Shanawa community, Zamfara State, on Wednesday night, injuring several worshippers and abducting an undisclosed number of people.
A security analyst based in the Northwest, Bakatsine, confirmed the attack on his X handle on Thursday.
“Last night, during the Isha prayer, Bello Turji led his gang to attack worshippers in Shanawa community, injuring four people and kidnapping an unspecified number of individuals.
“They later stormed Shinkafi town around 10 p.m., where they also abducted several people,” he wrote.
As of the time of this report, security forces have not issued an official statement concerning the recent attack.
