BAMISE: AGAIN, ANDREW NICE’S TRIAL SUFFERS SET BACK DUE TO COUNSEL’S ABSENCE

The ongoing murder trial of the driver of a Bus Rapid Transport (BRT), Andrew Nice Ominikoron, alleged to have killed 22-year-old fashion Designer, Oluwabamise Ayanwola, has once again suffered set back due to the absence of his counsel, Mr. Abayomi Omotubora.

The matter which was slated for Monday, on the last adjournment date, was for adoption of final written addresses from the defence counsel.

When the matter was called before Justice Sherifat Sonaike of Lagos State High Court sitting in Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Babajide Martins, informed the court that he received a call from Mr. Omotubora that his final written address was not ready and would be sent later in the day.

In the absence of the defence counsel again, the court adjourned the matter till March 3, 2025 for continuation.

Ominnikoron is facing five counts bordering on rape, conspiracy, felony, sexual assault and murder preferred against him by the Lagos State Government.
