
POLICE INVESTIGATE DEATH OF AKWA IBOM MAKEUP ARTIST
The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has launched an investigation into the tragic death of makeup artist Emrich Effanga, who was reportedly murdered by her boyfriend, Ndifreke.
Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Timfon John, confirmed this during an interview with our correspondent in Uyo on Monday, stating that the case had been reported to the command.
John added that the Commissioner of Police, Baba Mohammed Azare, had instructed a full investigation into the incident.
She said, “Information at our disposal has it that the matter has been reported to us and an investigation is ongoing at the moment. Further developments will be communicated to you.”
When asked for more details, the spokesperson mentioned that there was information he could not disclose at this time, as the investigation was still ongoing.

“There are things we cannot reveal now for investigation purposes, just take it that we are aware of the incident and that investigation has begun already,” John said.
