MERCY CHINWO: VDM REACTS AFTER COURT ISSUES ARREST WARRANT OVER ALLEGED DEFAMATION

Controversial social media critic Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, has responded after a Chief Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja, issued a bench warrant for his arrest over alleged criminal defamation of gospel artist Mercy Chinwo.
Magistrate Emmanuel Iyanna issued the warrant on March 13, 2025, after VeryDarkMan failed to appear in court as required by a summons issued on March 5, 2025.
In response via his Instagram story, VDM, currently abroad, challenged security agencies to arrest him upon his return to Nigeria, asserting that he was accustomed to being arrested.
He wrote in Pidgin, “I dey come Naija very soon make una ready to arrest me for airport. Arrest no be new thing for the Ratel na.”
