MISCHIEVOUS REPORT ON ACCESS TO  PRESIDENTIAL VILLA BY VICE PRESIDENT KASHIM SHETTIMA, GCON

Read Time:1 Minute, 56 Second

‎In recent times, a series of coordinated and deliberate falsehoods have been targeted at Vice President Kashim Shettima and his office. These fabricated stories, designed to mislead the public, aim to create the false impression of a rift within the Presidency. Their goal is to sow confusion and suggest discord at the highest levels of government.

‎The most recent of these baseless claims alleges that the Vice President was denied access to the Presidential Villa. Let it be categorically stated: this claim is entirely false and without merit. At no point was the Vice President ever prevented from entering the Villa.

‎The report, circulated by obscure blogs, claiming that military personnel blocked the Vice President’s access, is a gross misrepresentation and a product of pure fiction. It reveals the desperation and lack of credibility of those peddling such disinformation, relying on imagination rather than facts.

‎Earlier this week, similar fake news regarding campaign posters featuring President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was also dismissed. These false narratives are part of a broader, futile attempt to undermine the unity and commitment of the President and Vice President to constitutional governance and the rule of law.

‎Though disappointing, it’s not surprising that those behind these stories continue to underestimate the strong relationship between the President and his Deputy. Their reliance on misinformation and dubious sources has once again led them down a misleading path. These fabricated stories serve no purpose beyond distraction and mischief.

‎Vice President Shettima remains dedicated to his responsibilities and to supporting the President in delivering on the administration’s promises to Nigerians. He has no time for baseless distractions or media theatrics fueled by those intent on stirring up non-existent tensions.

‎We thank the many Nigerians who continue to show support for this administration and reject the spread of fake news. Your trust is valued, and your efforts in standing for truth are commendable. This government’s legitimacy stems from a constitutional process, and no amount of misinformation can undermine that mandate under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

‎We urge the public to ignore these malicious reports and encourage media professionals to verify their information from credible sources, treating sensational claims with the skepticism they warrant. This is a responsibility we all share in preserving the truth and integrity of our nation.
