In Abuja and other federation states, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has started the 2025 Unified higher Matriculation Examination (UTME). More than two million applicants are anticipated to take the entrance exam for higher institutions.

According to actual data obtained from JAMB officials, there are roughly 2,030,627 candidates nationwide who have registered to take the test.

41,026 of the applicants for the test are younger than sixteen years old.

Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the spokesperson for JAMB, stated that changes had been made to take into account the board’s and its partner agencies’ vital commitments.

When our correspondent visited a CBT center at La Vogue International School in Kurudu, he verified that the exam had begun in Abuja.

In order to assess students’ preparedness and competency in the CBT exam style, JAMB held practice exams prior to the start, which had a significant positive influence on their logistics.
