UTME: JAMB DENIES MESSAGES ABOUT CANDIDATES REPRINTING SLIPS
BY: AGATHA OKOYE
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has denied the authenticity of messages circulating about the reprinting of examination slips for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in relation to a resit examination.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has stated that the messages coming from a shortcode identified as 66019 are fraudulent and that the shortcode itself is a spoofed version.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), through its Public Communication Advisor Fabian Benjamin, has denied any association with misleading messages circulating via a spoofed shortcode. These messages incorrectly instruct candidates, some of whom have already completed their resit examinations, to reprint examination slips for a non-existent resit. JAMB emphasizes that there are no scheduled examinations at this time, and candidates who have received their results should disregard these fraudulent communications.
The only forthcoming examination is the foreign examination planned for nine countries in Europe, the Middle East, and selected African nations. Additionally, a mop-up examination will be held in 2025 for those who missed the main and resit exams due to biometric failures for which waivers were granted.
The public is advised to ignore misleading messages regarding the mop-up examination. All eligible candidates will receive proper notification once arrangements are confirmed.
