Wife of Vice President on National Development
Women have been challenged to contribute to the socio-economic growth and development of the country .
Wife of Nigeria’s vice president, Dolapo Osinbajo gave the challenge while declaring open a 2 day National women’s conference held in Oshogbo, the Osun State Capital.
Correspondent, Abass Okandeji reports that the conference with theme, “Virtuous woman, pushing for greater development” was at the instance of the wife of the Osun State Governor, Sherifat Aregbesola under the umbrella of Osun Officials wives association.
The event which was attended by wives of the southwest governors was organised to raise women’s consciousness on their roles.
Declaring the event open, wife of vice president, Dolapo osinbajo encouraged women to accelerate political and economic development of the country through their motivation and self development.
Osun state governor, Rauf Aregbesola and Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state explained the roles of women in political and economic liberation urging them to use their divine inspired gifts to change the face of the world.
