I’m willing to bet that you did not know that Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome aka Alibaba once worked as a bus conductor and cab driver.
The ace comedian’s grass to grace tale is one that the entertainment industry would always remember and his latest revelation is just another icing on the cake.
Alibaba made this disclosure during a recent interview with Channels Television, adding that he did odd jobs to survive.
Describing himself as a hubby, comic, writer, photographer, poet, artist, artiste, actor, motivational speaker, MC and talk show host, Alibaba shared his 30 years experience in the entertainment industry.
Remembering the days he had to hustle for his daily bread, Ali Baba revealed that he occasionally used his father’s car to convey people to their respective destinations as a taxi-driver.
“I have been a bus conductor before, from Ramah park back to Ogbaazu (in Delta State).
”I had my dad’s Toyota Crown. I will take the car for washing and I would do kabu-kabu (taxi), bribe him by coming with all the newspapers and put on the table,” he said.
